Heart Redwood Decking
Redwood is our softwood of choice for building a deck where durability, dimensional stability and natural resistance to insects and decay cannot be compromised.
Harvested from sustainably-managed forestland along Northern California’s coast and milled close to the source. Our Redwood decking is all heart and tends to be a better grade than what’s available at any home improvement center.
CAL FIRE Approved and WUI Compliant.
Redwood is resistant to fire and insect attack. No other natural or alternative building material comes close to the rich, authentic beauty inherently found in Redwood.

Wooden Decks
Redwood is still the builder’s choice for building a great looking, long-lasting deck. Strong and durable, Redwood weathers naturally requiring minimal maintenance and is easy to work with using common woodworking tools. And because wood does not absorb heat, Redwood tends to stay cooler under bare feet. Wood is a sustainable material throughout its lifecycle with minimal total impact as it eventually decomposes just like a tree would in nature.
Ipe Deck Boards
Ipe (pronounced E-pay) is a premium hardwood decking material with legendary resilience and extraordinary natural beauty. Deck boards hold up well under traffic and heavy use and require little maintenance, making it a good choice for residential or commercial applications.
Also known as Brazilian Walnut, Ipe is very dense and is resistant to fungal decay, wet conditions and insect attack. The tight grain can be wavy or straight and Ipe’s rich brown color contains hues of red and amber.
Class A Fire Rating — CAL FIRE approved and WUI compliant.
Ipe will gradually age to a silver gray if left alone, to maintain it’s natural color use a high-quality penetrating oil like Messmer’s with UV inhibitors.
